Why Do You Require A Profile Photo For Your Spectator Tickets?
Why does iPLEXsports require a profile photo for your spectator ticket?
Requiring a profile image upload is an opt-in feature of our spectator management system that allows events to require a profile image as part of the spectator ticket/purchase transaction.
If you are being asked to upload a profile image as part of your spectator ticket transaction, it is because the event you are attending has added this requirement to their ticket.
The security of you and your child at this event is our top priority, and one of the easiest ways to boost security is to implement a photo ID system.
Event managers want to know who is entering the playing venue, and they want to know that the person entering is who they say they are. In the event that something happens somewhere on the property, this provides a means to quickly identify individuals.
Verifies Identities
In addition to security benefits, having the profile image as part of the ticket reduces the need to pull out your driver's license, school ID, or other photo ID while standing in line (and is convenient for those who forgot their wallets in the car or forgot their ID at home).
The profile photo you uploaded appears on the scanner screen at the time your QR code is scanned. Matching a spectator presenting a purchased ticket against the photo on record for that person helps to validate a person's identity.
Reduces Unauthorized Entry:
Matching a spectator pass to a photo that we have on file helps verify that the person presenting the spectator pass is the person who is supposed to use it.
Your Privacy Concerns
We understand that data privacy is important to you, and how we use your data/photo is a valid concern. You have the right to know how we use your image and data.
Stored images and ticket data can be used for a number of purposes, including but not limited to:
1. Child Find - identifying and locating a child's lost parents.
2. Object Find - returning lost items (phones, wallets, keys).
3. Credit Card Fraud - identity theft and dispute resolution.
Data collected and profile images are not shared with other organizations or other events. Images are removed from our system 120 days after the close of the event.
