Why Do You Require A Profile Photo For Your Spectator Tickets?
Why Do We Require a Profile Photo for Spectator Tickets?
At iPLEXsports / iPLEXtickets, your safety and your child's safety are our top priority—especially in youth sports events like club volleyball tournaments.
Many event organizers choose to make a profile photo (uploaded or taken as a quick selfie during purchase) mandatory for spectator tickets. This is an optional feature organizers can enable in our system, and when it's required for a specific event, you'll see the prompt once checkout has been completed. Without a valid photo, the ticket won't be accepted at entry.
Key Benefits of This Photo Requirement
- Enhanced Security & Identity Verification Event staff can quickly confirm that the person presenting the QR code is the registered ticket holder. This helps prevent unauthorized entry and ensures only approved spectators access the venue—critical in family-oriented environments.
- Faster, Smoother Entry Your photo appears on the scanner's screen when your QR code is scanned. This often eliminates the need to show a driver's license, school ID, or other physical photo ID—saving time in lines and convenient if you forget your wallet or ID.
- Incident Response & Lost & Found In rare cases (e.g., locating a lost child’s parent, returning misplaced items like phones/wallets/keys, or resolving disputes), having a photo on file allows staff to identify individuals quickly and safely.
We Take Your Privacy Seriously
We understand concerns about sharing a photo—your data is handled responsibly:
- Profile images and ticket data are used only for event-related purposes (e.g., entry verification, child safety, lost & found, fraud prevention).
- Images are not shared with other organizations, events, or third parties.
- All profile photos and associated data are automatically deleted from our system 120 days after the event ends.
For full details, review our Privacy Policy here: www.oasis.tech/privacy-policy (or visit www.oasis-tech.info#privacy for more info).
Tips for Uploading Your Photo
- Use a clear, recent headshot (face forward, good lighting—no hats/sunglasses obscuring your face).
- Selfie option available during purchase if you prefer.
- If you're uncomfortable or have questions about the requirement for your specific event, contact the tournament director directly (listed on the event page)—they set this rule.
This simple step helps create a safer, more secure environment for everyone at the tournament. Thank you for helping us prioritize safety—we appreciate your cooperation!
