What Happens if I Dispute My Charge

When you dispute a credit card charge, you make a claim to the credit card company explaining that you are not responsible for paying for a particular purchase and why.

During a dispute, your credit card company will assign a 3rd party to research the transaction being disputed and request that they decide on just cause for a refund of the transaction.

Both parties, the vendor and the customer, must abide by the decision.

For the event director, handling a dispute with is a tedious and time consuming task.  The number of disputes that a vendor receives can also affect their credit rating.  We would strongly recommend that you only consider filing a dispute as a "last resort."  In all circumstances we encourage you to attempt to resolve your refund request with the event director.

www.buymypass.com does have a recommended Cancellation & Request Refund procedure that we encourage you to use when working with the event director.  Please CLICK HERE to see our Cancellation & Request Refund Procedure.

    1. We keep very good records and we are able to easily demonstrate that the transactions are legitimate.
    2. In EVERY SINGLE instance where someone has tried to do this - they have been declined by the credit card company.
    3. We will ban these accounts without hesitation, and prevent them from purchasing from ANY event in our system.

  2. The second most common reason why people  dispute charges is because they simply do not bother to seek refunds through the defined procedure that we provide.

  3. Unused Tickets.  Please be aware that every event has it's own refund policy.

    1. We strongly suggest that you follow the posted Cancellation & Refund Request Policy as this will establish a Date / Time record of your request, ideally you are trying to cancel your pass before the event - especially for limited attendance / spectator quota events.
